Jared & Savannah | Downtown Franklin Theatre Proposal

There's something special about a proposal in Historic Downtown Franklin, and Jared and Savannah's was one I'll never forget.

Before the proposal, I met up with Jared’s brother, sister-in-law, and Savannah’s best friend, who had all come in town for the occasion. We drew up a plan on where to place a photo frame and a bouquet of roses. Then came the task of protecting the parking spot right in front of the Franklin Theater. To capture the perfect photo of Jared down on one knee, we had to make sure no one parked in the spot. Jared's brother had the honor of defending the spot, and as time ticked by, all of our nerves grew. Jared and Savannah rounded the street corner, and it started to sprinkle a little, but that didn’t stop Jared and Savannah from having a perfect proposal…

The Franklin Theater sign read: “So glad you happened to me... Marry me, Savannah,” which was a nod to a Russell Dickerson song, the same artist they saw together on one of their very first dates. It was such a thoughtful detail that made the proposal feel uniquely theirs.
